"QUALITY IS OUR CONCERN"

My name is Julian F. Moore, Owner/Engineer of "Expression1585 Production" founded on March 9, 2016.
I was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia and I am the middle sibling of my two brothers.  As a kid, I always had a love for music from my family background.  My aunt played the piano for several churches throughout the Savannah area; my mom was always singing in church choirs, my dad love playing old school rhythm and blues, my little brother was always  singing while we were getting ready for school, and  my older brother expose me and my little brother to Hip Hop!  When I got introduce to Hip Hop I fell in love with the music, listen to artist such as RUN DMC, LL Cool J, Eric B and Rakim, EPMD, NWA, The Ghetto Boys and I can not forget all of the soulful artists from Marvin Gaye, Steve Wonder, and Michael Jackson to name a few.  Because of the music that I was exposed to as a young child, I acquired this burning desire to learn about music and how it was put together by artists and engineers  using different sounds along with techniques to create awesome songs.

In 2009 I got my start in the music engineering world helping my mentor at the time now best friend Ontreal Bowers record Ms. Toi full album "Cooperate Thug."  Ms. Toi is artists from Los Angeles who was featured on Ice Cube hit record "You Can Do It Put Your Back Into It" from the movie  "Next Friday" soundtrack.  That was a great experience working on that project.   Working on that project had it's challenges because we only had two weeks to record 18 songs and there were alot of long days and sleepless night but we had a job do after all she flew to Savannah, Ga to work with two up incoming engineers.  Now fast forward to 2012  I had the pleasure to work with Ontreal again this time we would be working on  Kyndra Joi album "When RB Meets Funk and Marries Soul"  This was a fun project because I actually recorded 80 percent of this album, I had input in the making of vocals,  and Ontreal did all of the mixing.  Most of this project was produce by Brion B. Ward.  From working on these two projects I knew for sure that my job should be engineering and producing music

On the summer of June 2014 I decided to take a trip to Atlanta, Georgia to the world famous Patchwerk Studios for a seminar and walk through of the facility.   The tour was given by the CEO of Patchwerk Studios Curtis Daniel III.  During that tour he share so much advice about the business of running a recording studio, from booking session, knowing your equipment, and always taking care of your client.  Curtis and some of the other engineers had a Q and A section for us after the tour and they were impress with my answer to the point he ask me do I have a degree and my answer was, "no sir I am self taught."  Right after that Curtis share the most valuable information with me about how to get a job not only working in Patchwerk but any studio and he said, "you have to get your degree in audio engineering to even be consider to work in Patchwerk Studios because all of the engineers employed here have degrees."  After hearing that come from a proven studio owner and business man I knew what I needed to do to make my dream job a reality in the future.  So in August of 2014 I enroll into Full Sail University located in Orlando, Florida to study audio engineering so that I could make my dream job of becoming a audio engineer a reality.

During the summer of July 1, 2016 I graduate with my Associate Degree in "Audio Engineering" from Full Sail University accelerated program.  Because of the training I received at Full Sail, I can oversee/ coordinate/ manage all aspects of the recording of music, production, and mixing.  With obtaining my degree, I already had been recording for about eight years and mixing for three years.  I am currently working with the artists SAGE' formally known as Shonta' Renee' on her new album where I have been co- producing, mixing, and recording songs with her for her new album slated for release in 2018.   I have also produce a song called "God Horns"  for Clay Hodges that will be coming out at the start of next year on his new album.  Music from all of these artists that I have had the opportunity to work with, can be found on: iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, and Amazon.
